We got out hands on the Splatoon Amiibo three-pack at Nintendo World in NYC and decided to check out how Amiibo works in Splatoon.
The first four challenges you unlock with the Squid Amiibo in Nintendo’s Splatoon have you racing against the clock with unlimited Kraken power up. It’s essentially the first three levels of the single player campaign with an extra ability and time limit.
Completing Amiibo challenges net you coins and special gear for your Splatoon multiplayer character. You can’t complete challenges for levels you’ve yet to unlock in single player. If you want to hear more about what we thought of the game, check out the Save As review
